Tracy Gray is an educator with over 20 years of experience as a classroom teacher and school leader. She has designed programs creating and directing diversity, multiculturalism, and science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (S.T.E.A.M.) projects. In her commitment to advance 21st century teaching and learning competency skills, Tracy has established international partnerships to expand student cultural and global awareness. Tracy facilitates workshops to assist communities in finding and designing pathways to careers in the S.T.E.A.M. fields through her venture, The Sankofa Global Project.
During the National Week of Making, June 17 - June 23, 2016, Tracy Gray hosted Sankofa Global’s Tinker Workshop Labs for 2,000 students in five schools within Brooklyn and Manhattan. Students explored tinkering through robotics, and electrical, aerospace, chemical and mechanical engineering. The Sankofa Global Project is proud to announce that one of its signature education programs, The Tinker Workshop Labs hosted an exhibit at the World Maker Faire which took place at the New York Hall of Science, October 1 - October 2, 2016.
Tracy Gray attended and celebrated the first ever South By South Lawn (SXSL), a festival of ideas, art, and action, introduced by President Barack Obama, which happened on Monday, October 3, 2016.

In 2017, Tracy Gray has launched programs for underrepresented communities with the support of Microsoft and Twitter. Ms. Gray is in the midst of planning The Sankofa Global Project's first Tech Education Conference which will take place at Brooklyn Borough Hall on April 25. The themes of the conference are:

- What is S.T.E.A.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education?
- How do we conceptualize S.T.E.A.M. education beyond school?
- What are creative ways to overcome barriers to access to S.T.E.A.M. education?
